"Matzo bowl soup came with a hair in it. (Dark hair I’m blonde). Soup is good otherwise but won’t come back bc I’m grossed out. Also, $15 for a soup is kinda crazy imo."

"Wish I could give half stars because I think it's more of a 4.5. Small traditional Jewish style deli that is very easy to miss if you're not looking carefully for it. Came here for lunch during the week and went with their junior sandwich lunch special, 5oz of meat of your choice (I went with brisket, which comes warm and with a side of gravy if you choose) and a side of Nathan's style crispy fries and a drink for a decent price. I think this turns out to be a perfect portion for any meal, but Jewish delis do love to make their giant sandwiches too. Brisket is sliced thin and put on soft rye, very tasty. Sandwiches also get served with a small plate of coleslaw and a few pickles. Despite the small size, the place feels very comfortable, almost like having a meal at home. I wish I had got our waitress's name, she was the sweetest woman and made sure we were taken care of. Prices can seem just a touch expensive, but you get good quality and a healthy portion for your money. You can park on the street right in front, but I'd recommend the larger lot behind the building for convenience, there are entrances on both sides. Would gladly come back for more deli classics."

"Had a craving for a juicy pastrami sandwich and it was hard to find a place until we stopped here. They just opened for the day and we saw a bunch of take out orders ready for pickup which means we came to the right spot. In addition to Abe's Special pastrami sandwiches and the hot dog knish, I ordered a matzo ball soup. The knish was tasty and the hot dog added some good flavor to the inside of the knish. The 3/4 lb pastrami sandwich was great and with the matzo ball soup, I could only finish half. The complementary pickles and the coleslaw were fantastic. The menu wasn't updated so the sandwiches were a couple dollars extra for dine in service which we didn't mind."

"Walking on the opposite side of Merrick Road, my wife and I smelled the pastrami. We crossed over and for a pastrami sandwich with mustard and a black cherry soda and I must say, it was quite delicious. Forgot to ask for it lean, but it was lean anyway. Mustard on both sides. And at $15 plus change, it was almost $10 cheaper than what I (used to) pay at Mill Basin Deli in Brooklyn-even though they have a sign apologizing for an increase in prices! Ten Dollars!!! Seating available. Clean restaurant and clean bathroom as well. Nice to know I can now afford an occasional delicious pastrami sandwich again. I have lived in Brooklyn for over 60 years, and I know good Pastrami. This is the best I have ever tasted."

"Best Pastrami I’ve had in my life! Got a hot Pastrami open face melt Sandwich on Rye and a cold Pastrami sandwich. This Pastrami just melted in my mouth. Little old school Kosher deli , everything is homemade fresh. Great macaroni salad , pickles, dressings and other kosher items looked good. If I’m in the area again I will definitely try other items if i can get past the Pastrami. Great friendly people."
