"Cool little trail, that takes you to a lookout platform. The trail is paved, and is approximately half a mile one way. We had a fairly clear day, so we could see miles in all directions. Pretty cool!"
"One of the best views off the foothills parkway of the eastern side of the park. I hiked from the lower parkinglot and logged about 1 mile and 200 ft elevation gain. Even on a cloudy november day, there were still beautiful views and some remnants of fall colors. Beautiful hike and a must do if in the area. The foothills parkway is a commonly overlooked part of the smokies but has so much to offer. Less crowds for the most part and the views are wonderful."
"What an amazing little gem hidden along the Foothills Parkway. From the parking lot, the paved trail is a relatively easy .25 miles to the observation platform. The platform itself is in great condition and offers almost 360° views. If you check the observation deck at the parking lot, there is a trail that runs off to the left of your waking towards the deck that will take to to a rock outcropping. Definitely with the side hike for the views."
