Umberto's Restaurant & Pizzeria 1180 Wantagh Avenue, Wantagh, NY 11793

"Always a solid choice when in the mood for a quick slice of pizza or table service Italian food. My favorite is the grandma slice, it's thin crispy and with a savory garlicky sauce. I also recommend their margarita slice. Their food is also really good. This time, besides pizza, we also ordered lasagna and a prosciutto, mozzarella,roasted pepper, and spinach panini. Everything, including dessert, was delish. Now keep in mind not all umberto's are built the same, this one is the one in wantagh which happens to be my favorite. I have been to the one in Plainview and couldn't believe it shared the same name, big thumbs down for the plainview one. I also think the quality over at the original in New hyde Park has gone down in recent years"

"Ehhh nothing special or unique for LI pizza ….thought Umberto name was famous….didn’t live up…..ordered one slice and was tiny…..counter lady was nice…..if you like basic baby slices for normal pricing this is the place for you…pictures are two slices I got recently"

"I really like their grandma and their deep dish Not a fan of regular or Sicilian. I always get a side of sauce to dunk pizza in. Staff is friendly price is fair. The deep dish I give a 4.5 and the grandma 4.5"

"My family used to go here all the time until we moved away 10 years ago. But being back in town for a few days, I had to stop here for dinner with my husband and parents. We got an antipasti salad, a large cheese pie with 2 meatball slices, and shrimp fra diavolo. I just had 2 slices of the pie and a garlic knot. It was still as excellent as I remember. I missed this. Just the right amount of oil, thin crust (a little too burnt), and just the right flavors and sauce/cheese ratio."

"Umberto's is a nice local pizzeria and restaurant in Wantagh. Its family friendly and they have a lot of options to choose from. The staff are friendly and the premises is clean. The decor is nice but very standard and nothing flashy. Food: When we ordered we decided to sit down and eat but we still ordered from the counter. There they have a variety of specialty slices and they will heat them up straight away depending on the queue. What we got was Buffalo Chicken, Alla Vodka, Chicken Ranch and Grandma with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage. All the slices were ok but I did like the Buffalo Chicken and Alla Vodka the best! They also have a good selection of classic Italian dishes that I will have to try in the future when I am back in Wantagh! Overall Opinion: Umberto's is a nice local pizzeria and its a good option if you are looking for a family friedly restaurant in the Wantagh area!"
