"I stopped at Hickory's for the first time in quite a while. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and I was shocked at how good it was. I the past I had stopped there and remembered the food being very good. I was not disappointed - in fact I was very pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was fantastic. I strongly recommend that you visit for a great experience."
"There is no atmosphere. It's a "hole-in-the-wall" with just a few small tables. The food is basically to go. But the hickory smoked burgers and the fries are perfection! (Not sure what else they serve)."
"This is a landmark in PW. If you grew up here, this was one of spots to hit during lunch or after school and 10yrs later the food and taste has been consistent. The prices have gone up, but you can’t blame the owner for that. Personally, it doesn’t bother me because the quality of the food is always consistent. My personal favorite is the half roasted chicken with fries, salad and hot sauce. Keep up the great work!"
"Looking to try something new and decided on bbq without having to travel to the Bronx. The platters are good for two people so I ordered a combination of platters to feed 6 adults, which allowed me to sample the chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. I also ordered sides of chicken wings, sweet potato fries, and zucchini fries with cucumber dip. Two of the platters came with fries and cole slaw. I forgot which. One platter came with corn bread, which was not my favorite. The sweet potato fries were mediocre. Maybe better for dine-in option. The French fries were good and thick. The zucchini fries had a lot of breading for my taste but the cucumber dip was good. I used it for the chicken wings as well. The wings were dry by the time I got to eat them though. The ribs were great! Probably the best bbq meat. The 1/2 chicken was good. Wasn’t dried out. The pulled pork was good too. Will definitely try the fish taco next time."
