"Stayed December 2023 for a night. Was aware of the remodeling ahead of booking. Pool, exercise room were closed. Food / breakfast area was also closed, but was informed that a "continental" breakfast would be available to take back to the room. Absolutely disgusted with what they presented to us (see photo). Hampton Inn is part of the Hilton Hotel chain and was under the impression that Hilton was a step up in quality from our regular go to hotel, holiday inn express. I sent an email to Hilton corporate expressing our outrage about being served a chemical laced bag of garbage. They never responded. Holiday Inn express is less money and has a wonderful hot breakfast."

"They are renovating and did not disclose exactly how much! The noise is very loud and we have a newborn. They are renovating even on a Saturday. Started very early and front desk said they will be renovating until 5. Before booking, I'd reccomend calling to see how long they are renovating for, if they are still renovating during your travel go stay somewhere else especially if you want a relaxing weekend. Edit to add: the fire alarms also went off in the morning and the early afternoon. We were aware of the renovations however they did not disclose how much or how loud it truly would be. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend this is not the place to stay while they are doing renovations. 8 am sure is early on a Saturday morning, with a baby that wakes up every 3 to 4 hours to eat. Just wanted to make everyone aware. It might have been a nice place to stay other than the noisy renovations and fire alarms being tripped by construction workers."

"10/2023 - DO NOT STAY HERE. Fire alarms went off TWICE in the middle of the night. Staff members had no idea if it was real or “false”… turns out one of the sensors in the construction area set it off. Apparently this “happened before”, according to a staff member. Firemen who came by did not look too happy. Also, with the hotel at half capacity there is ample space to park… however they STILL don’t allow you to park a trailer. You’d think they’d waive that rule until the new hotel area was remodeled…. But no. More inconvenience for you. If you value getting a full night’s rest (and not waking up to fire alarms throughout the night) - stay elsewhere! Response: It should not be up the customer to "speak with management" after that hot mess. Every person staying that night should of had some compensation given to them at checkout the following day. Again to all those reading, stay away from this place."

"This hotel does not deserve the Hilton backing. We were given room 219 since we had an emotional support dog with us. The room was filthy and you would not want to put your bare feet on the carpet. The TV was about 32 inches and impossible to see the caption on the screen from your bed. All the furniture and lighting is outdated from their 1980’s. Upon checking out we were invoiced $75 for our emotional support Pug since they do not recognize this in NORTH CAROLINA. The racket is that whether you stay one or four nights you pay $75 for a room dirty and not up to Hilton standards. We have stayed in Hilton hotels in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Canada, Ohio, etc and never been invoiced for an emotional support dog. A total rip off at the Dobson location to avoid at all costs. Very disappointed and will never return to this hotel. Take your pets elsewhere. November 7, 2023 In view of the amount we paid including the $75 pet fee, you should change your carpet cleaning products since they are not working. The room was filthy and when one pays the equivalent of a 4 day stay up charge on a pet they deserve a room clean and updated like any other client with or without a dog. I guess the pet owners are paying the housekeeping for the other clients since it nearly doubles the room charge. You did not reply on your outdated TV so you must realize how ridiculous they are for the room size."

"*Diamond Member Review* This place is outstanding. The staff is professional, the cleaning staff are doing a great job, and the other parts of the hotel have been maintained well! Breakfast was great for an amenity that is free to your guests. 5 stars for me! The only items i would mention are the wallpaper issues, some tiles being loose or broken in the public areas, an excess of notifications on the walls regarding fire safety, and the price tag of the room is about $60 higher due to being closer to the vineyards and having a wine bar. Not sure it's worth that, but it is certainly worth the peace and mind of knowing it is a clean facility! Great job and don't stop doing what you are doing!"
