"Beautiful home and property, but the owner is very rude and made what was a great experience and wknd for our ladies simply awful. Furthermore, the home has safety issues that I addressed with the owner and vrbo but was paid no attention. My comments on such were even removed from vrbo by way of the owner's persistence. SAFETY CONCERNS -- I fell down a few of the wooden stairs on an area that did not have a grip strip placed. In fact, I still have the mark on my back from the fall more than 6 months later. Another gal slipped in the 1st floor shower the same first night we checked in. There was no anti-slip mat in the tub/shower combo and no safety grab bar. Lastly, there was no check-in information, house rules, or contract agreement ever sent to us (to which vrbo confirmed). I had to ask the owner for the check in, wifi, clean-up details to which our women abided by and treated the home and property with the utmost respect. For the way we were treated and the lack of concern for our two injured women and unknown resolution of the safety concerns, we will never rent this property again."

"Just experienced the most memorable & beautiful wedding for my daughter here this weekend. The house itself is brimming with movie memoribilia from The Longest Ride and can entertain the eyes for hours. On a sidenote: The wedding assist staff that was provided wasn't very friendly, or extremely helpful nor did they relay accurate parking information until after half the guests had already arrived, otherwise this place is TOP NOTCH RUSTIC ELEGANT. Well supplied kitchen, beautiful furnishings & decorations, with a porch you could rock on for a month made up for anything that might be missing. The "barn" is the highlight of the property. To be on the safe side print yourself a backup map to get there. Cell service is sketchy at best and GPS can get sidetracked on the way in, but it's worth the country drive through the North Carolina scenery. Definitely a recommendation for your special day!"

"Great vacation home. However, seems as if the housekeeping service is a little grumpy. We cleaned up significantly and yet they still complained. I've cleaned houses before so when I say that's what housekeepers get paid for I speak to myself as well."
