"The coffee is really, really good and I adore the setup and looks of everything. I wish the service was better, I come in a few times a week and while sometimes I’m greeted with a smile, there’s one young employee who just stares at you when you come up to the register, doesn’t greet or ask what you’d like, I told him my order, he says nothing just rings it up and starts talking to the man who was on bar. I don’t expect a whole conversation but maybe an acknowledgment that he heard my order correctly would be great. Everyone else I interact with is truly lovely, but as someone who works in coffee myself, this just isn’t the way to go about customer service as it’s really damping my opinion on the store itself."

"Locals Collective NYC is a great place to hang out and enjoy some quality coffee. The space is cozy and stylish, with a relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is tasty and well-made, but I wish they had more options for the size, it's a bit too small for my liking. Another downside is that they are close to early (4 pm), especially in the summer. If you're looking for a late afternoon caffeine fix after a day at the beach, you might be out of luck. Otherwise, it's a nice spot to check out."

"Ordered a lemonade, espresso and granola bar for $16. Received the bar and lemonade and waited near the bar for the espresso. Waited about 20 minutes before inquiring and they seemed to have forgotten to make the espresso. The women went to the register to make sure that I had indeed paid for it, confirmed it was their mistake and prepared it for me. The espresso was incredibly large in volume, approximately 4oz and very watery. Upon leaving I realize they had given me the wrong pastry but it’s not worth going back to ask for the correct one. 3 stars because the staff was friendly despite being unorganized and the cafe itself is very cute and welcoming. They also have a restroom available which is always appreciated."

"They nicest people work here and it's a great place to meet with friends or work on your computer. The food and drinks are SO good! We had the breakfast sandwich, vegan cookie, mint lemonade and several coffee drinks. They also have surfing merch since it's a surf school. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommended!"
