Danny's

"You can tell this place has been here awhile and is popular with some local people. I came here on recommendation from a coworker while on business in Buffalo. The waitress suggested the mini beef on weck sandwich with the salad bar, which I did order. The sandwich is about what I've had before at other Buffalo restaurants but much smaller, almost slider size. With that there was a notice posted that "due to the price increase of produce, there will be a $2 charge for each salad bar".....of course that's in addition to the menu price of $15 for the mini sandwich and salad bar. With a coke that came to $22.05 or $27.00 with tip. WOWZERS, that's a pricey lunch! The salad bar wasn't very impressive with the cheap iceberg lettuce, minimal topping choices, and a noodle salad and coleslaw. They did have 4 soups on the bar, with one being "spicy" buffalo chicken, two tomato based soups, and beef vegetable. I guess the soups are what they're known for but I just wasn't impressed. The servers were nice and helpful but this was just a huge miss for me. The decor is nice though, reminds me of my grandma's house, and the restrooms were pretty clean."

"This was the absolute worst meal I ever had. The breaded fish had more breading on than fish. The waitresses didn't even ask us about our food. She didn't even take up our check. I had to go to the podium to pay my bill. Never was so dissatisfied with a meal here in the past. I guess if I go back I will definitely will not order the fish again."

"What a fun local place! Family owned and operated with an extensive menu and many "hometown" originals. Umame in my tummy. Wonderful soup and salad bar. I enjoyed beef on weck and peanut butter pie. If you're in Buffalo, do try Danny's"

"The food and service were excellent. Our server, Kelly, was a lot of fun and very attentive. My chicken stir fry was very good and their chicken wing soup is top notch. This was our first visit but definitely not our last. Check this place out!!"

"Danny's is the epitome of what makes Western New York so special: Friendly, affordable, and with no pretentiousness. Danny's is a no thrills restaurant / diner with great food and a charming atmosphere. Could it be remodeled and made to look more modern? Sure, but it would ruin the delightful charm it has! It's just a wonderful place to feel at home and enjoy a dish fry. Pro-Tip: Other patrons were recommending the chicken wing soup, and they were RIGHT! Don't miss out (even though I admit it looks strange)."
