"Went here after First Day Hike at Selkirk Shores. The waitress let us know right away that she was the only wait staff due to staff shortage. Our order was taken promptly and even though we had to wait a little longer for our food, it was worth it! All four of our meals were hot, fresh and perfectly cooked to order! Even tho the waitress was extremely busy, she made sure to check in with us regularly. We left happy and full! What happened after our visit is truly the best part of this review! I left my favorite wool sweater/coat there! I live 1.5 hours from there. I called frantic and the waitress reassured me they had the sweater. When I told her I lived so far away, SHE SAID THEY WOULD MAIL IT TO ME!! I was so touched by this act of kindness. I offered to pay for the postage but the owner said, no. Their exact words, "this is how we do things here." I received my sweater TWO days later--$17 worth of postage! I was so touched by the generosity and kindness the people from Lakeside showed me, I would highly recommend their restaurant...plus the food was tasty!!"

"I have stopped here a few times after fishing all day on the lake, and it's a nice spot to grab a quick bite to eat. Nice local place with great service. The interior is very warming and there was a middle to upper age, quite full crowd on Saturday evening (Memorial day weekend). Food was not delivered correctly (med/rare - med/well burgers with toppings mixed up), but waitress was very nice and corrected the issue upon notification."

"Nice place to stop for lunch. Very convenient (right on the road, no driving into town) and easy parking. We ordered beers, BBQ sandwich, and hot turkey sandwich. The turkey was a little bit dry on the edges, but otherwise was tasty; as was the gravy and mashed. I wish I had asked about the side, because I expected French fries with gravy, as in my experience most places in Upstate NY serve with an open-face hot turkey. My friend said the BBQ was good and the tater tots were excellent. The desserts looked delicious in the display case, but we didn't order any. They were short-staffed at the time (I overheard a staff msay), but our service was excellent, so they covered well! A solid 4, and I would have given it a 5, if not for the dry-edged turkey."

"This is honestly our favorite place to go now. We have lived 8 minutes away for the last 10 years and gotten ice cream here MULTIPLE times but finally decided to try the restaurant out a few weeks back. We have gone twice now and even my picky eating kids love it. The staff is so friendly and accommodating! The food is delicious! 10/10 for me!!"

"I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of this little hometown place right across from Selkirk Shores Beach. My aunt and I had the Buffalo Blue Burger and my mom had the lasagna. Portions were huge. We took home enough for lunch the next day. They had a showcase of homemade cakes and pies. Good place for a great meal."
