"Tico's is a great AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant nestled in our little town of Chaumont NY! While it is a little pricey the food is always amazing and will not disappoint! My wife and I had an impromptu lunch on a Friday afternoon there in October 2023 and we had the place to ourselves (sadly for the restaurant, but nice for us!). We go as often as we can and would recommend it to anyone! Last I heard they are going to start serving breakfast too! I recommend that you try ANYTHING on the menu... we haven't had anything we didn't like!"

"Usually a good little place but a couple weeks ago, I just did a pick up for nachos. When we eat in, the one waitress acts like we have a disease and is stand offish but we don’t take that personally. The owner usually comes out to greet us which we like. But, for my pick up, it seemed as of everyone was away and the kids were manning the restaurant. It was a Sat eve but barren. The one kid had his gf at the bar making eyes at one another and the other was sneezing and hacking, even when he went in the kitchen to make my nachos. Which were sloppily presented with some cheese thrown on and beef slopped on. I make better (and should’ve gotten stuff at dollar general for half) to make my own. I season my beef and ingredients but I usually like this place and thought I’d support a small business. One girl was on the other side eating and texting. Seemed like a free for all and rather barren but despite being so slow, plates and dishes were piled up on the tables and the place was a mess. I won’t be in a super hurry to come back."

"Food was very good. Atmosphere is casual but very nice. We had no idea there was a huge restaurant behind what looks like a take-out store front! Owner came out and asked how our meal was and chatted with us for a good 15 minutes. Service was slow but attentive.... but the restaurant was very full when we arrived, so we understood the slow service. We will definitely go here again!"

"We were on vacation and passed by and decided to stop in for dinner one night and wished we hadn’t waited until our last day or we would have gone again. Everything was delicious! The guacamole tasted like it was just freshly made, my taco salad was delicious (just wish they had some sort of dressing), kids menu is always great. Cute and clean inside, nice service and the cook/ owner(?) came out and chatted with us, all very friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!"
