"Had the Hawaiian Bowl which was awesome. The server was fantastic. The only big knock was employees cursing in Spanish across from my family. The excessive use of the Spanish "F" word kinda killed the dining experience. Though the food and service was excellent, if the staff is openly complaining, how do they feel when preparing my food? Doubtful to return which is a bummer."
"I tried the enchiladas de mole for the first time and it was delicious. I almost always do carry out. Everything that I've gotten has been wonderful. I feel this is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in town. They have a very wide selection of dishes, including a bar and kids menu. They also have outdoor dining if you prefer."
"Enjoyable for a quick bite of lunch on a Saturday in Athens. It wasn’t very busy and our food was made to order, delicious. They were not doing much bar business, but could easily have handled a big party. El Jinete has a spacious patio area for outside dining, although we did in fact sit inside. The staff were kind and more than capable of handling our questions. Nice place to just “stop by” spur of the moment and I’m glad we did! Thank you"
"This is absolutely one of the best Mexican Restaurants I’ve ever been!! Prices are not high, portions are very nice, food tastes amazing. Everything was so fast, my food was ready in minutes. I ordered mixed fajitas it normally comes with beans and rice but I didn’t want them cause I’m fasting, they gave me more salad instead!!! All crew was so friendly and professional. I added this place to my favorite places on Google Maps will definitely come again if I ever travel close around here."
