"I was involved in sports my entire life, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, 5Ks, half and full marathons, biking (even road across Iowa once). Now that I'm dipping into my later years, I need a way to keep my body moving. Of course, I've dabbled in yoga over the years. But this year our yoga home has been the Breathing Room. We're still experimenting with classed - but I've really enjoyed Yoga Nidra, Kundalini Yoga (both with Lyra), and Evening Salutations with Gail - although that class time is a little hard to make. So, give the Breathing Room a shot and bend a little - or a lot!"
"What an incredible place is The Breathing Room for me and my daughter! Honestly, I had to force myself to go to the first class because it's been years since I practiced yoga and I am embarrassed to have let myself get SO out of shape. From the moment I walked in and shared my anxiety with Rachel she intentionally made me feel like I had been practicing here forever! My 18 year old daughter has started attending, too, and she has never practiced yoga but she loves the atmosphere and the challenges and the way modifications are suggested to newbies. It's easy to see what classes are offered for the week on the app and it's super easy to register for classes through the app or through the Sunday email that lists classes for the upcoming week - simply reply to the email and Karen will sign you right up. I love the intimacy of the space and the calmness I feel after each class. I also love that classes are not overcrowded which allows for a more personalized experience. The Breathing Room also has all the equipment you need - bolsters, mats, blocks, blankets. I can't say enough good things about The Breathing Room! Hope to see you there!"
