"An amazing find! The most authentic Irish pub I have been to in a long, long time. Father Brenden is the owner and bartender and a great guy to just talk to. Yes, he is a retired priest and yes he is from Ireland. Best selection of Irish Whiskey I have ever seen. So order a Guinness, a Harp, a black and tan or a snakebite and relax and ask Father Brenden about the history of name Boro Inn and how he came to open a pub in Blue Ridge. Oh, and take a walk around inside and be amazed at all the unique stuff he brought with him."

"I really hate leaving 1 star reviews, especially because I’ve never set foot in this establishment. But I tried to visit half a dozen times spanning two trips to Blue Ridge 4 years apart and each time I’d show up during posted business hours and the door was locked with no signs of life. I even tried calling several times and left a message asking for a call back, but never received a response. To the business owner: please keep your business hours up to date so people don’t end up wasting their time making a trip to a pub that isn’t open. That, along with the fact that you don’t answer phone calls or return messages of people trying to patronize your establishment, to me, suggests that you don’t respect your customers or value their time and in my opinion, is a poor way to run a business."

"I've grown up here even been to this place several times with my mom but can say I was disappointed in how my friends were treated and my guess is from other reviews is because they were out of towners. My friend went to the bar and attempted to order when he asked her what she wanted before she could even open her mouth in response the owner said "yea good luck with that" and walked away to sever someone that just walked up and ignored her husband. We were dressed in Halloween themed outfits not costumes nothing extreme but yet the other locals were allowed to make fun of my friends and I. Nothing that we haven't really heard before. We do attend comic book conventions, guess what? We spend a lot of money there. Money that we were prepared to spend at this place but I won't be doing that anymore not that they care. We got up and left immediately (we were not kicked out). Place is just over all not as welcoming as it used to be. He'll probably send another person to write a positive review to counter this one like I see he did to another review. Enjoy your cult."

"Our 1st time but definitely not our last. Kitchen is being redone so for now its wings, fries. Father Brendon, the owner/bartender does it all. He's like a one- man band! He was attentive, delightful, and shared some enjoyable stories. Other customers were very friendly and happy to engage in conversation. Cant wait for the kitchen to be done to enjoy some traditional Irish foods. Will be going back soon ☘️"
