"My Bank card was charged x2 on 10/27 & then 10/30...same transaction, same amount, I went in & Arianna was very kind & reviewed it on my statement...Of course refunded it, however I'm trying to understand how same transaction got processed on 2 different dates...I usually let things go but peeps watch your bank, credit cards, etc...I don't see how it was a glitch but I accepted the explanation! Again the Assist Mgr Arianna was helpful, polite & an asset to this DG in Newport Tn.."
"It looks like it’s a newer DG and the store was a lot cleaner than a lot of the other DG I’ve seen out here in East Tennessee and the staff were very friendly"
"This DG is getting back on track, in large part because of the new management. with these types of chain stores the managers are seriously challenged with a limited number of hours available to hire quality employees. So when visiting this particular location pack your patience, and if there's something you're not seeing be sure to ask one of the employees the new crew there is really great!"
"Very nice employees very eager to help you. Was in their a very long time buying stuff using my downloaded coupons. I like the management in Newport and the store better than the White Pine store because the White Pine store is too packed with stock in the aisles and you can't get down the aisles with a buggy. It's a shame that the White Pine store being such a brand new store and is so cluttered and their are other stores that I have been in. Why can't Dollar General hire enough people to keep their stock put out n not be piled up in the aisles. But at least management at 2 of the Newport stores takes pride in their stores and want it to look good for their customers. Get some help n get your stores straightened up Dollar General!!!!"
