"The food used to be amazing before the pandemic. Now it tastes like the food is dumped out of a can warmed up and put on your plate. I had the toughest beef and rice that tasted as if it was cooked in dishwater. At least I was able to eat the hush puppies."
"It’s only take out. This place not dependable. I called to make sure their hours . Got in line 7:45pm closing time was 9pm . No more dark meat chicken than someone said we would wait 29 minutes. We were more than willing to wait. Now they change their mind again saying only white meat . Waste of time & effort. After the back & forth we left . Very bad for business"
"Picked up dinner at the drive thru today. Fast service and the food was hot. Since the restaurant is not currently open for indoor seating. No issues but a person approached every car asking for a few dollars. The same guy every time my mom comes here. It's annoying and they should ask him to not bother the customers."
"When I lived in the area 11+ years ago, this was one of my favorite restaurants. So when I had a chance to come back it was high on my list to visit. It didn't disappoint. I didn't care for the ribs, but enjoyed pretty much everything else including the fried pork chop, baby shrimp, sweet chili chicken, and the fixins. Desert was great too. Enjoyed a tiny bit of banana pudding and peach cobbler. Both were excellent. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. It was a little toasty though. More AC please."
"This is our first time to eat here. The food was hot and delicious. My favorites are the homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and, fried chicken, cabbage (I loved the fact it is shredded), okra & tomatoes, beef liver & onions in gravy, yeast rolls, fried trout and the homemade apple crisp with ice cream. I enjoyed the food and we will be back."
