"Simply the best! We had a granddaughter visiting who had engine problems but needed to return home for job/school. Highley's fit them in and solved the problem quickly. We've used them in the past and would recommend them for any automotive work - not cheap but worth every penny! Solid repairs and peace of mind."

"By far the best experience I’ve ever had with any auto shop! I was in Blue Ridge with my family when my vehicle had a catastrophic failure (collapsed lifter). I drive an 89 Land Cruiser with an L83 engine swap, which can seemingly be a little intimidating to some mechanics. When I called Chris, he was happy to help. Chris is an honest business owner/mechanic. He kept me in the loop throughout the entire repair process. Getting the Land Cruiser back on the road was a big job, but Chris and his team left no stone unturned. They identified other potential problems and fixed them appropriately so I wouldn’t have any future issues. I got my vehicle back, and it is running better than before. Thank you Chris for all your hard work!"

"Never take your classic vehicle here for transmission work. Chris assured me he would work on my 69 Lincoln which had a transmission leak.. He assured me it would be kept inside. After two months of waiting for him to start work on the vehicle I saw his ad on facebook marketplace for his 66 Lincoln which was for sale. Across the parking lot I saw my Lincoln sitting outside with a hurricane due to arrive the next day. Chris would not answer the phone as it was the weekend so I sent him a message on Facebook. He said he just put my Lincoln outside a week ago because it was stinking up his garage. He was annopyed with me for contacting him said I was stressing him out. What did he think I felt like with my treasured Lincoln which had been constantly garaged and covered sitting out in a parking lot with heavy rain and a hurricane headed in. He said he had no room inside for the car but would get it in the following Wednesday or Thursday and begin work on it. I called Tuesday to see if the car was ok. He said it was and again said he would be getting it in Wednesday or Thursday. Thursday evening he called me to say come and get the car he was not going to work on it. He said I had called him tooo many times. He actually said I called six times on Monday when I made no calls Monday only the one on Tuesday for 30 seconds. He complained I had contacted him on Facebook on a weekend. He claims he only has one mechanic for classic vehicles. Then why take one in if you do not have time for it. Chris thinks you just send the car there and wait until he calls you in maybe three years time.Since I see two other people were scammed on transmission work I guess I got out of this easy but my car suffered from sitting outside for two months. I hate being lied to and this man is just that a liar . Not only that but rude and insulting because my Lincoln had always been cared for and had a new car smell. It is no longer the car it was from sitting outin the sun and the rain. It is hard to find someone good to work on a classic. I had the same problem last year with an idiot who did not know what he was doing."

"Chris and the guys at the shop were great! While traveling through Blue Ridge, I had an issue with my truck and initially took it to Ford, who could not help me. They recommended Highley's Automotive. Arrived at the shop and spoke to Chris, who understood my predicament and immediately took care of the needed repairs at a fair price. I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing auto repairs. Thanks again Chris!"

"We were on our way to a cabin in the mountains when our car stopped accelerating. At 3:45pm on a Friday afternoon Chris didn't bat an eye at helping us and stayed late to make sure we could get back on the road. Chris, the owner is very honest and helpfull and offered great service at a reasonable price."
