"After enjoying their Insta-presence, I decided a little road trip into Blue Ridge territory was in order for my weekend to get back out in the world after a week at home recovering from the seasonal crud. And I have to say, the trip did not disappoint one bit! I didn't stop at the storefront in town but headed a little further down the road and was greeted by a calm and peaceful surrounding and lovely apothecary goodies that speak to my inner "green witch" desires. Having seen posts of the yummy sweet and savory goodies on offer, I found myself ordering a bowl of the soup of the day as well as one of the seasonal iced coffees. There was no "social media disappointment"- it was all top notch and delightful- so much so that I left with both types of goodies to savor later in the week - and even heated up in the toaster oven the hand pies/pasties were fantastic! The people were also an absolute joy to share chats with- both staff and another regular that came in. That's the kind of calming and welcoming atmosphere we need more of in this day and age- especially during the harrowing holiday season. I wish they were closer to me so I could have ready access to this lovely place- but still so happy to know that it's not so far away that I can't make regular trips when I choose to "escape the city" and get grounded in the glory of the mountains."

"This was such a delightful place that I don’t even know where to begin my review! Firstly, everyone there is so friendly and pleasant that it makes you feel like family when you walk in. The apothecary had so many interesting things and I wanted to walk away with all the dried herbs there! Then the apple picking was so fun and hearing the story of the history of the orchard and original owner all while he was driving the tractor pulling the wagon, it was just too much for my heart to handle. I was spending my birthday there with my fiancée and I could not have asked for a better place to be than right there that day. Highly highly recommend going and seeing this place. We will be back!"

"We called and made sure they were open. We drive an hour and 20 mins to get there and they had a sign saying that they were closed for training. Smh. A lady in a blue dress looked at us through the window and ignored us. I won’t be coming back here."

"An excellent way to spend a few hours relaxing in North Georgia. All of the staff are friendly and willing to answer questions. It is a smaller, family operated orchard where you can walk through at your own pace, not feeling pushed by crowds, like at some of the larger, more tourist-trap type orchards. The small bakery has wonderful food, with both sweet and savory selections"

"If “customer service” is a book, Deep Roots Orchard is the author. Everyone here was so welcoming and helpful during our visit. The shop inside was amazing, as were the desserts. We did a tractor tour of the orchards, had a picnic with delicious food prepared by the orchards, then got picked up by Joe driving the tractor for us to pick apples. I couldn’t recommend this more! While there is a larger, more popular orchard nearby, the customized and genuine service we received at Deep Roots was a way better experience."
