"Not the best experience I've had and this makes twice once at Lowes in Fairlawn VA. and Galax VA wasn't any better!!! Customer service needs more than a little work both places need a whole new store of employees I don't know the pay wage at Lowes but it's bound to SUCK that's the only thing I could think of why at both stores the employees weren't at all happy to be there. Noone knew where anything was located @ the Fairlawn store I followed a employee around for a hour looking for epoxy I knew when I went there I didn't know where it was located but when I had to have my son send the manager a picture of the label I wanted them he told me to tell her what isle ! LoL Galax employees just shook their head asas I asked a question and kept walking never to be seen until I caught a glance of one employee trying to blend in with the pole lamps I'm not sure if she was hiding or maybe watching for shop lifters lol"

"Never buy a washer and dryer there, they canceled the first delivery date the morning of because they didn't have the washer or dryer. Then when they did deliver it their delivery team smash the brand new dryer, to the point the dryers was walking across the floor and wasn't useable, busted off huge chunk of my door frame. No one's responsible for that of. I go back and just tell them I want a replacement, they couldn't do that. I had to purchase another dryer and then when the one their delivery team smashed into my door frame got back in the store they'd refund my order. So the Store Manager tells me that he will make sure they will pick up the old dryer and deliver the new dryer that I had to pay for again on the same day. Delivery team shows up picks up the dryer and then tells me oh we don't have the new dryer. Sorry, no idea when its coming in. So I have now bought two dryers from Lowe's and I have zero of them at my house, The only thing I have is a busted up door frame from Lowe's and a lot of wasted time. Zero stars. I wish we had Home Depot local."

"Lowes is the closest hardware to my home and I buy all my tools, building supplies, gardening supplies here. I had to return a wall heater on this trip because the repairman could fix the one I already have. They were friendly in processing the return. I was very satisfied."

"This Lowe's seems to be getting somewhat better with workers willing to help load stuff. I had one worker see me trying to load plywood onto a cart and he came to give me a hand. Then, on my way out the door, another employee asked if I needed help loading it in my truck. My main complaint is that they have moved the bricks to the back of the store where you can not access them! If you need a couple of bricks, you have to find an employee; who will then get a forklift, and bring the whole pallet out to the contractor entrance area. (Well, if he can unlock the gate, anyways.) I bought 50 bricks yesterday, and the young man got the forklift all the way to the gate, but, did not have a key to open the gate. We had to pass bricks one at a time through the gate, and then, I moved the bricks to my truck and repeated the process alone. Not a big deal, but why keep the bricks hidden like they are made of gold? They can't be stolen that much, come on Lowes. This is the only Lowes that I can't get bricks myself from. What a major PIA. I'll update my review to 4 or 5 stars when the bricks are back by the cinder blocks. Also, the young man who helped me with the bricks was a good guy. Didn't catch his name. He tried his best to help me."

"I've been frustrated with service at Lowe's, especially at the Pro desk. Today was a much better day however thanks to two employees who went out of their way to be helpful. Anthony helped unload our return and went the extra mile. Jim in the flooring department was a tremendous help, patient, and pleasant as well. Overall I give Lowe's in Galax a two to three star rating. I give Jim and Anthony a five star rating. I'm thankful that some people still care about customer service."
