"This place is going down!!! The parking lot is flooded, According to the staff members the Exhaust Vent has been broken for quite some time and the owner doesn't want to fix it! Service is poor. The front desk lady unpleasant personality! All the food smoke we carry is in our clothes. They should shut down that broken Vent table. My steamed rice is not cooked."
"Typical hibachi style Japanese restaurant. I had the filet, medium rare of course, and it was cooked to perfection! The chef was awesome, the wait was about 20-30 minutes, and it was a great experience!"
"Food was good, service was too, but the heat was unbearable! We were told the AC didn't work, but clearly you can see in the picture the thermostat was set to heat. Not enjoyable at all! I would rather eat cold fast food fries and be comfortable than eat the best food on earth with sweat running down my back...especially for $100"
"Come to Boone often, but this is my first time at Makoto’s. Love Hibachi and I’ve been to a few. This one checks most of the boxes. We came at lunch and it was very cold in the building, which I didn’t mind but others in my group weren’t happy about it, so the fire show was welcome. They were very accommodating with my mother’s allergy to shrimp and considerate to everyone at the table. The soup appetizer was the best I’ve had compared to other hibachi places and the salad with ginger dressing was good as well. I tried the Shumai (Pork filled dumpling) fried. I’d recommend getting it steamed, however, but it was good. The sauce it came with was a little too salty in my opinion. Shout out to the Chef, I didn’t get his name but he was a cool dude."
