Dr. Sarika G. Sunku, MD

"She was my pediatrician, since I was a toddler until I was about 15/16 years old, at a clinic in the South Bronx. What a nasty, vile and miserable little woman. I've never left a review anywhere, and I aged out of pediatric care almost 10 years ago, but I felt the need to write one for her. I cannot believe someone with her lack of people/professional skills would even consider being a pediatrician. Why? Was it to fulfil some sort of dream that your parents had for you? Or did you just need some tiny people to pick on? At some point in your life, did someone say the things that you say to children and their parents to you? And to see that people are still complaining about the same things... years later. Gross. If you have any respect for your child, their growth, their development, their self-worth... find them another pediatrician. One who loves and respects children. I would never allow anyone to talk to my child the way she spoke to my sister and I. To all of the reviews praising her for being thorough... she should be. She's a doctor. No one is asking her to be a beaming beacon of light, or to put on a birthday party clown show, but she lacks an extremely basic level of care, consideration and compassion. It is scary to think back on as an adult."

"I do believe Dr Sunku is knowledgeable but this place is usually crowded. You usually have to wait an extensive long period of time because they tend to double book. Also heard the lady who sit in the front loudly arguing with another patient/parent. Not really recommend."

"She gets the job done. The visits feel rushed, don't feel as though my childs visits are thorough. Both my son and daughter have been seeing her since they wore born and she never knows which is which. I always feel like I've won the worst parent award after my kids appointment, 6 years later, we visit once maybe twice a year and I can't even do tolerate anymore. I'm on a hunt for a new pediatrician. What may not work for me, may work for you though. Staff is great, place is always clean, they accept walks ins if you are a current patient, the hours of operation work well for my families schedule."

"I have been going to Dr. Sunku for since I was 6 in 7 and I can honestly say that she is the most considerate and caring pediatrician."

"I would avoid this place overall. Dr. Sunku is great and thorough, but her staff needs to improve tremendously. Her front desk staff is extremely rude. I had a horrible experience with Ariana. Not sure how she still has a job, but they should reevaluate their team, or they will continue to lose patients."
