"Let me start off by saying my therapist at this practice is amazing as is my daughters current therapist, but it is her third therapist in the time we have been patients. Unfortunately, my place to get reflection and peace for myself and my child’s mental health has become a source of stress. I was informed 5/26/21 verbally and in mid June 2021 via correspondence that Winchester and Vega would no longer be in network with my insurance (NYSHIP) . Being invested w my therapist I decided to stay and pay a larger copay (which is reasonable and not much more than my previous copayment ) and I have paid all my payments. Unfortunately Ms. Winchester is fighting me to pay a few hundred dollars because the practice decided to go out of network from my insurance retroactively to April without notifying me until June in writing, May 26th verbally. I am a first responder and my copays were waived during this period, but because they dropped my in- network insurance without notifying me they are shaking me down for the money that I shouldn’t owe in the first place.. if not illegal to retroactively disenroll from someone’s insurance and send them bills it’s certainly unethical. In my conversations with Winchester statements have been made to the effect that someone else is waiting for my slot if I don’t want to pay. Clearly the priority is the money and not the clients mental well-being. Today at my session I was greeted with a bill for these fees that I have been grieving. I now feel pressured to pay costs I shouldn’t have to or my child will be cut off from getting mental health services she needs."

"Did not have a positive experience at this practice. Not attentive or communicative throughout concerning billing issues, and administration/ secretary was consistently rude. Was swapped around more than a few times with different Therapists, and none did not seem to provide qualified, consistent therapy with the exception of one who unfortunately left the practice a couple months into my treatment. You don’t really feel like these folks have your best interest at heart. Try another."

"Dr Winchester is more concerned with looking at her texts and talking about her daughter Tatiana. If I heard one story I heard them all. It's all about lining her pocket and NOT the patients best interest. She should have her license revoked!!!"
