"So I went to Dr. Bareket twice and I did get the impression that he was good at his profession but his bedside manners are pretty terrible. I did not get the feeling that he cares about his patients. There were multiple occasions either on the phone and at my visits where I could barely finish my sentence and was cut off by him and whenever I asked a question I was almost made fun of or I got quite an attitude from him. For example: I asked if there is anything I can do on my own regarding my HPV diagnosis if food or other things could help it in any way. He said ..FOOD can’t cure a virus!! Almost like what the hell are you talking about with quite a defensive and dismissive tone. Almost to the point where i feel hesitant asking any questions in general. Turns out there is a lot I can do after working with my Natropath. He definitely has an approach of I know more about your body, shut up and listen and don’t ask any questions that question my methods. Disempowering women pretty much. Instead of saying that is outside my scope of work but you can certainly do your research and find out for yourself. A little kindness and patience can go a long way. He did not show me how to do a self breast exam at my last yearly check up and when I spoke him about it he said I’ll just show you at your next one in 6 month, remind me! Then there was another question he brushed me off about and at this point I had enough of a doctor that doesn’t have his ego in check and doesn’t know how to have understanding, patience and empathy for their patients. I certainly won’t be going back."
