"After getting ghosted by a different washing machine repair person this technician came out and identified the problem. Unfortunately, it took several calls in a week later to finally get an estimate. The repairs would cost just as much if not more than a new machine. I asked if I can order a machine through them and set up installation. I was told a technician would call to help me. I never received a call. So I decided to go with the appliance store in Somers."

"I did not have a great experience with this company. On the front end things were great. Scheduling the appointment was easy and they were very polite. The tech was supposed to arrive between 3-5pm. When it was close to 5pm and I hadn’t heard from them I called the office, which was supposed to be open still, and got no answer. I called again just after 5pm and no answer. We thought nobody was showing up. At 6:30pm a tech reached out to me saying he was running late and would be there in 30 minutes, an hour and a half later at 8pm he showed up. Our dryer wasn’t getting heat and he took it apart, read the manufacturer’s manual out loud to himself, shorted a wire which filled my house with smoke and set my smoke detectors off at 9pm. I was so upset, with a 2 week old baby in my arms I sat crying until he left. They quoted us at $650 to fix the motor of a dryer that was able to turn on before he arrived. The next morning the quote was changed to $750. We decided to get a brand new dryer and mistakenly (because I was so upset) I did not call to inform them about what transpired that night when the tech was here. Although, noted that I had left 2 voicemails asking where the tech was the day of our appointment and nobody ever reached back out to us from those calls from the office. When our new dryer arrived from the manufacturer it would not turn on, we had the manufacturer send out a second dryer thinking it was a detective unit. Turns out the outlet had a dead circuit which I believe this company’s repair man caused when he shorted the wires. It’s not a coincidence that the outlet worked prior to his arrival and then did not after his very terrible job at diagnosing our issue. The company was very defensive when we called to explain all of this. They offered to send out the same repair man to look at the outlet- NO THANK YOU! I will not be using their services again. Unfortunate because I had high hopes with the reviews and with my initial call. Disappointed and left with an electric bill of $300 to fix the mistakes from their repair man."

"Our 7 year old LG refrigerator, which has never had any problems, suddenly stopped cooling. I called LG customer support and they concluded it was probably the compressor, which was the only thing still covered under warranty. I researched authorized service companies on the LG website, but when I called around, some did not service LG products, some only worked in Connecticut, some could not help me for 3 to 4 weeks, etc. ATR Appliance Tech Repair was the only one who could help me. When I initially spoke with Donna on the phone she was very helpful, explained what the cost would be, and told me she could have a technician to my house within 2 days. Shane and Leroy were very professional and efficient and were able to replace the compressor and get our refrigerator working again at a fraction of the cost of a new unit. I highly recommend ATR Appliance Tech Repair."

"While I understand that delays can happen, twice in one day and then an appointment getting scheduled, then mistakenly rescheduled by their office, and then scheduled BACK was more than a little frustrating. Both delays were hours not minutes, hence why the AM appointment got moved to later in the day only to find out that the tech was equally delayed in the evening. Basically spent the whole day in limbo waiting. Tech finally came the following week, diagnosed the issue within in 15 minutes and said there was a part that was needed. I called and emailed the next day to inquire on the part and repair estimate when I didn’t hear from anyone. Waited a couple more days called and emailed again… zero response. Finally gave up out of frustration and decided to just replace the appliance instead dealing with such an unprofessional company. Ironically a week later they finally text messaged me , telling me they ordered the part. Too little too late, so I declined any further appointments with them. The office seems very mismanaged and the tech is over scheduled. When a business can’t operate properly they lose business. After seeing some really positive reviews I was hugely disappointed by my experience. It was anything but positive which is unfortunate since they came recommended by Thermadore. A simple reply letting the customer know their email or voicemail was received would have sufficed. But completely ghosting customers is a terrible business model."
