"To the creep that left a 1-star review for whatever warranty quibbling he had, that is NOT a reason to hurt the ratings of this very excellent business. Simply, I had a troublesome generator that would not start. I went to two other small engine mechanics - and paid them - for not fixing the problem. They all sucked -and left me with a still-not working generator that wouldn't start up. Then I saw Liberty Small Engine in my area - and gave 'em a call and brought it over. The owner/mechanic made SURE that generator worked and would not fail me - and the time he spent diagnosing this issue - and actually finally identifying what was the trouble and FIXING IT - was way more than any other small engine mechanic had been able to do. He also fixed the handle and made that generator as good as new - extra little things he did not have to do - but knew it would make my experience with the machine better. Also, he gave me back my old parts - proving his replacement of items (which others did not). I will say when I see a mechanic keep his shop clean, organized, in order, and pays attention to detail like this gentleman did - I would without question recommend his services to anyone needing small engine repair. Price was completely fair and now I finally have a working generator ready to operate without issue. Highly recommended!!!!"

"My 40V electric mower stopped working. The blade would not engage. My mower was still under warranty so I took my mower to this authorized Ryobi service center for repair. I spoke with the service technician and he confirmed that the repair was covered by the Ryobi warranty. Several days later, when the repairs had been made, I received an invoice from him indicating that I owe additional money for this repair. When I asked about this additional amount, the technician informed me that his labor costs exceeded what Ryobi approved for this repair. Ryobi's warranty is very clear and states that " Any part of this product found in the reasonable judgement of TTI to be defective in material or workmanship will be repaired or replaced without charge for parts and labor by an authorized service center for Ryobi brand outdoor products." The warranty repair should not cost the customer anything. I contacted Ryobi customer service and they agreed with me that I should not have to pay this additional amount. As a result of my complaint, they contacted the service repair technician. Ryobi informed me, days later, that this authorized service technician will honor the Ryobi warranty, redo the bill and not charge me an additional amount for the warranty repair. I hope that Ryobi made it very clear to this service repair technician that he cannot charge customers additional money for warranty repairs. If this technician feels that his cost to repair Ryobi warranted items is more than what he is reimbursed, perhaps he should not be an authorized service center for Ryobi products."
