Petco Grooming 1255 Raritan Road, Clark, NJ 07066

"Let me begin on November 8. I had an appointment for my dog Max with Karina … we went over the health history. She took Max in to remove his collar. She was struggling to get it off. He was getting a little nervous because she kept pulling on the choker. I leaned over the gate to pet him and she opens the gate as she open the gate, she pulls his collar off at that time someone was walking out of the store. My dog sprinted out of the store. I was in a panic. As I ran out of the store to get my dog, I yelled please help me. He sprinted down past Whole Foods and back. People were trying to catch him. He ran down the aisles with the cars. It was horrible. Finally three girls cornered him. I ran over at that point melissa came out with one of the chokers, not one person from Petco came out to help me. I walked back inside she said well we can’t see your dog now very annoyed and rude never asked me what happened. Just assumed I didn’t have a collar on him. I would never walk in or take the collar of my dog…. Understandable my dog was so upset and nervous at that point I did make another appointment and melissa said to me next time leave his collar on, I said I never took his collar off. Karina took his collar off when she opened the gate should never have been open…. I can’t tell you how I felt. I got in my car and broke down crying. I had just lost my little Morkie August 1. Who also was going to Petco for many years… So yesterday was my appointment with Max I walk in I was the only one there girl come from the back never said hello is this Max she just started asking me how I want his haircut and I said to her are you Desiree did not have a good feeling. At that point I went to pick Max up. She never came from the back to deliver Max never said anything somebody else was at the register went in the back and got my dog. Not a good vibe at all yesterday…. after the episode on November 8, I called the store quite a few times could not get through. I wanted to speak with a manager of the store just to make sure that would never happen again…. I know melissa is the manager there She knows me for a long time bringing my dog there I didn’t even get. I’m so sorry this happened . Nothing just said to me next time leave the collar on her I said to her I did not remove it Desiree had the gate open when she removed my dogs collar…"
