"Charged me an extra $30 after my reservation ended with no warning. If they’re going to charge over the pre agreed upon price, they need to notify people before hand so you can decide if you want to take on those charges or not. Update- sharks did reach out and apologize for the confusion and ensured me that they’re working on making their booking more transparent. We’ll see if updates are made."

"Every time I come here, I don’t want to leave! I wish there were more places like this!!! Sharks provides a private, intimate setting where you can gather in groups to play billiards and hang out. It feels like you have your own room with cute decor, very clean and modern, and you can pay per hour for as long as you’d like (in advance!). You can bring your own food, they have speakers to connect your music (in Williamsburg, the ‘lounge room’ offers a TV too!). Since we went for a birthday, we were able to bring decor, balloons, cake, and all in a comfortable setting while playing pool! Their website is very user friendly and easy to book, and the customer service chat is helped helpful as well! After booking, you can see the details of your reservation and when your appointment time arrives, you can enter the building on your own without needing anyone else. It feels secure and safe, and while no staff is on site the rooms are monitored. I will note that in the Williamsburg location, the ‘lounge room’ is in the basement and very separated, but the others are not as closed off and people walk through your room to get to theirs. Not a good thing or a bad thing, as everyone is usually respectful and quiet, but to note that the other rooms are not as private as the lounge. I added some pics of the lounge, which is bigger so the price includes up to 8 people :) you can add more if you pay too! (for all rooms they include a set amount of people and you can pay per person if you exceed the number). The lounge room is definitely more expensive than the others as it’s set for 8 people, which is annoying if it’s the only room available when you have less than 8, so be sure to reserve ahead. I was dissatisfied that as a first experience, we stayed a little overtime to finish our game as I saw no one was coming after us, and then cleaned up and left. The following day I saw a charge for the overtime, and just wish it was communicated to me prior as they could have messaged or emailed me that it would happen. Definitely altered a great experience to a good one. PS: all rooms have wifi, a speaker, and a fridge. No freezer :("

"This is one hell of a gem in Brooklyn. Wanted to find a spot to relax and unwind with the wife involving billiards, and we happened upon this place. Gave it a try and we were hooked. Reservations are a must. Price you pay is per hour and is good for up to 4 people. You pay for a pool table room which includes a mini fridge, seats, and a relaxing atmosphere. Staff are extremely friendly and also have a little bakery/coffee set up there as well. Way better than the more crowded places we have been to in Manhatten. Highly recommend and we definitely will be back."
