"My daughter was interested in horseback riding. We came across Baker Stables. My daughter went for her first ever horseback riding lesson, and was super excited! Needless to say, it was not what she hoped it would be. She arrived there and there was not a very warm greeting. She was not taught anything or shown anything about how to get a horse ready. She was put on the horse and was taken out to the Horse Back Riding ring where she sat on the horse in the middle of the ring for close to one hour while Mrs. Stephanie taught the other girls that were out there in the ring. My daughter sat and watched. She was not very friendly towards my daughter. When my daughter asked questions, the response was not very nice. One question in particular was that she asked about the cat that lives there on the farm. Mrs Stephanie said, “don’t worry about that, that’s not what you’re supposed to be focused on.” Mrs Stephanie seems to be more focused on winning than actually teaching. Unfortunately, after that experience, my daughter was very upset and was crying in the car. In the end, they are just kids trying to learn. But we were very fortunate to find a new Horse Back Riding instructor that is wonderful."

She is especially good with small children! Not many barns will accept small children. Baker stables has good, reliable ponies and horses, which is so important with small children! She is so very careful about the wellbeing of her ponies. They are well cared for. It's a joy to work with her. She is patient with the kids and dependable with her arrival and set up. "My daughter attended a few camps here in the past and had a wonderful time. Stephanie is very good with the kids, patient and very instructive. Not only did the kids learn to ride horses, but they also learned to care for them (transferable skills for any potential non-human family members). Steph even sent us pictures and posted them online so we could all have wonderful records. It seems that a lot of recent posts relate to one child, and I don't think that's quite fair, so I'm posting a review just so strangers can know that there are a lot of folks who actually attended Baker Stables and had very positive outcomes. Sometimes Social Media is distorted. I'm trying to balance that."
