"I've been here a few times on high holidays. The rabbi (Berkman) is anti-intellectual. A couple years ago, on Yom Kippur, he went on a diatribe on the "evils of intermarriage." He also went on to mention that his grandfather was a Gentile. The whole speech was rambling and illogical. My husband and I are of different faiths. We got up and walked out of the synagogue. If he wants to keep the Jewish faith intact, then perhaps scare tactics are not the best option, just my humble opinion. We walked out and we will never, ever be back again. Again, your grandfather was raised in a different faith but you want to lecture people on not inter-marrying? Hypocrisy, much?"

"NCJC is the largest conservative synagogue in Rockland County with the most to offer. There is something for everyone of all age groups and interests. I have enjoyed the opportunities for volunteering, meeting new people, making lasting friends, and growing spiritually. My children thrived with the help of the Hebrew School. NCJC is a very welcoming place."
