"Was not able to get an appointment with the doctor, so settled for the PA. Jalpa had a terrible attitude. I waited about an hour to be seen and she did not even spend 10 mins with me. When I asked her to look at multiple rashes, she said to make another appointment and everything cannot be covered in one visit, yet she hadn’t even seen me for 10 minutes. Then she billed for a complex case that required more than 45 minutes of her time. She did not help me at all. This office employs unethical healthcare professionals that could care less about their patients. Do not waste your time with this office."

"Amanda Mazzetta, PA at Metropolitan Dermatology is a spectacular physician's assistant and I will continue to go to her. She is very educated in her field, super kind, very gentle and answers all your questions. You never feel rushed. My husband and I both enjoy talking with her and I highly recommend her. Also, the staff is very friendly and the waiting time is short."

"I was a patient at the Clark office. Previously I had seen Dr.Doctoroff, however he became impossible to get an appointment with, so the last couple of years, I saw Jalpa Patel. Several months before this review I saw Ms.(not a doctor) Patel and she wrote a prescription and sent out a biopsy. I never received a call about the biopsy, so eventually I called the office and the general office person who answered the phone read it to me. I had already seen it, but had questions and asked that Ms.Patel call me. At the same time, I was having difficulties procuring the prescription. After multiple calls to the office, asking that Ms.Patel contact the pharmacy or do whatever else had to be done so that the prescription could be filled, one of the office staff was able to solve the problem by recommending a compounding pharmacy. So, I was finally able to get the prescription. Since that time, however, I had questions about its use because it doesn’t seem to be effective, using per the label. With respect to both of the above issues, I called the office a total of 9 times, over multiple weeks. The office staff had tried to be helpful and had stated that they notified Ms.Patel every time I called, however nobody ever called me back. Nobody - as in my phone has never rung from their office number. Meanwhile, I had received what was to me the first notice of the bill for the visit in question, however it said ‘second notice’. I have not paid this yet, as I find it somewhat offensive since they cannot seem to take the trouble to return my multiple calls. Since that time, which was two weeks before this review was written, I received an additional two bills. Unbelievably, btw, it was suggested to me on my last call and after I told my story of woe, that I ‘just’ travel to their office to ask the questions. This was said to me after I had already stated that I was upset having to spend so much time on the phone. In summary, it seems like Doctor Doctoroff is so successful that he no longer needs to address the concerns of patients that have gone to him for multiple years and can afford to lose patients to shoddy service and an uncaring and completely unresponsive Jalpa Patel. From my experience and from reading the other reviews, it seems like if it goes well and you don’t need additional communication for any reason, everything is fine, however if you have questions or concerns, you are just scr*w*d. Oh, but you’d better pay the bill immediately upon receipt, even if you don’t understand the results of what you’re paying for!!"

"I had a great experience at the Clark location Metropolitan Dermatology practice. I will say, I had been to the Kenilworth office a year ago, and was not impressed with the care I received there as I felt that the practitioner I worked with was rushing me out the door and seemed to dismiss my concerns. I didn’t want to come to this practice again. But then I recently had a separate issue that I was concerned about, and I called the practice to see if I could make an emergency appointment. To my surprise, I was able to get an appt the next day at the Clark location with Inga Bufano. She was a complete pleasure to work with. As a healthcare professional myself, I know how important it is to establish rapport and make sure that the session is informative and comprehensive. Inga checked all boxes. She was extremely knowledgeable. She spent adequate time with me. She was punctual. And she provided me a detailed plan that left me feeling optimistic and confident in her diagnosis. I highly recommend her."

"I had a painful skin infection that needed immediate attention. Dr. Alex made time for me even though they were having a very busy day. The staff was wonderful; they didn't give me a hard time for not having an appointment. Everything went smoothly. The doctor examined my wound, determined it needed to be drained, and answered my questions. The clinic was well-organized, and I didn't have to wait long. They provided clear instructions for wound care. Thanks to their help, my wound is improving, and I didn't have to endure the pain over the weekend.
