CityMD East 161st Urgent Care - Bronx

"I have been here twice in one week, and I had a great experience. Genesis is a great nurse she goes above and beyond to help, she's warm, caring, patience, and friendly. The front staff are helpful, and quick to assist with your needs. The doctor is great! Both times the wait time was not too bad at all, we were in and out the first time, second time not so bad as well being that there is only one doctor onsite."

"The male doctor there was so rude told me that he couldn’t help me or give me any antibiotics I would need to get a CAT scan go to the hospital and spend most of the day there.he wouldn’t even call the ambulance for me even though my throat was closed tonsils was swollen I could barely breathe I ended up having an anxiety attack. The ambulance came and got me after I had to walk 3 blocks but I was in and out of the hospital within an hour they gave me antibiotics and pain medication"

"I go to City MD at 161st betw. Gerard Ave and River Ave. I walked in dragging my leg (due to my achilles snapped and knee issues) first thing out security mouth is you need to wait outside after you register, we are crowded. I looked at her while she is sitting on a patient chair with cellphone in her hand like are you for real right now? You see my condition. I explained my condition and she sat there saying look around we are at capacity, while still sitting. I think Humans have a big void in their thinking process. Smartphones have clearly done messed with logical thinking. So as I left outside a lady stopped me offered her seat, so I went back in. I gave font desk my ID grabbed a pen to sit and voila a patient’s child took the seat. Receptionist reminded me an hour wait. Security still sitting repeated it’s crowded. I took my ID and said forget it. Unreal that a security is sitting in a patient’s chair and does not get up nor do front desk tell her to. Then everyone started offering their seat. I am already in pain and don’t want to sit there with this kind of welcome reception. Never have I ever seen security sitting unless it’s empty. Thank you staff and security for your hospitality, generosity and common sense. Major FAIL!"

"Great front desk people. Great telephone service. Waiting times are too long and there should be a way to distinguish between patients who are only there for a test vs. patients who need more extensive treatment. Otherwise, it was a good health care experience."
