"At my first ever appointment with them, I had my yearly exam and expressed concern that I would be doing a large road trip and that I might have issue filling my BC prescription. I was assured they could help me phone in the prescription while I was traveling, however, they never warned me that they REQUIRE a mid-year, check in, specialist appointment to fill your prescription for the rest of the year. This type of specialist appointment is typically a $40 co-pay and from prior experience, these "check-ins" for BC consist of taking your blood pressure. They refuse to fill my prescription without me making this appointment. I think it's unprofessional that they did not disclose these forced mid-year check ups upfront and have now essentially left me stranded without my BC until I can find another option. It feels paternalistic and like they are looking to maximize their visits with patients for no reason other than to charge for specialist appointments. I should be able to make an educated choice to opt out of a "check-in" regarding a BC pill I've taken with no issues for 5+ years and through other doctors who never required this kind of overbearing monitoring."

"I met with the Nurse Practitioner there, Linda Keller. She was very nice and seemed to care about the appointment. I had an appointment here and had to wait probably 30 minutes before being seen and there were only 3 other persons in the lobby with me. My BIGGEST complaint is that the doctor sent my results to a lab that was not covered by my insurance. Now, I am stuck with medical bills (over $1000 might I add) for a service that was supposed to be 100% covered by my insurance. Why would they send my tests to a lab that isn't covered by my insurance, especially since I specifically asked if they were covered by my insurance and made sure that I wouldn't have to pay for anything. Just another medical office saying you need XYZ to take your money. It's a shame. Update - 10 months after my appointment (8/31/2017) When I first got this bill, the office had told me that everything was find. This was back in Dec 2016/Jan 2017. In March 2017, I continued to get bills for the lab, which I didn't pay because the office said it was settled, and then it started saying the bill was going to go to small claims court. I struggled to get in touch with the office to have this resolved. I called several times and was told they would call me back regarding the issue. Eventually I gave up with them. I then proceeded to talk to the lab directly and to the HR manager at my company for help. There was not much I could do besides just pay the bills and take the loss. Fortunately, the lab gave me a discount and I only had to pay about $900 as opposed to $1200... still a lot of money, but at least I didn't have to go to small claims court. Since then, just the other day, the office called me and told me I'd be refunded the whole amount! After all of that trouble, I got refunded. I am appreciative of this. However, the fact that it took more than 1 month to have this resolved correctly is upsetting, annoying, and enough for me to leave a 1 star review. Please make sure you specifically ask them to send your results to a lab that is covered by your insurance! This was a nightmare and I lost a lot of money for a while, but I am glad it turned out in my favor."

"Dr. Aro is a good doctor, the office staff is the worst. Everyone speaks to you with an attitude as if you're wasting their time. They overbook every appointment, leaving you waiting for well over an hour, and offer no apology or explanation. After waiting many months for an appointment, it took so long waiting, they said I could come back 2 hours later. Then, waited another hour and a half. 4 others in the waiting room had the same wait times. Last visit to this office, with sadness and frustration."

"Horizon is my primary, and they are great... Figured their other offices would be to.... So you do not make the same mistake, the doctors here have no bed side manner; you are just a number, you are not treated with respect. They even gave me a hard time getting my files transferred, and showed no concern when I stated my issues on their survey. DO NOT GO HERE!"
