"Hi I had to get a knee replacement on Dec 18 Dr patrick leung did the surgery. And. I was really scare. The team in the or and the Dr did a great job with me. From everybody there was so helpfully. There food I could not belive was great I was in for 3 days . I think I put a few pounds on from the food . Lol. I'm going to make long Island Jewish hospital my hospital there really care about me. Now. I'm walking get now. Thank you so mysg"

"I waited in the emergency waiting room for over three hours before I was seen then another 2 hours before the PA came in. I came for abdominal pain but they didn't give me an ultrasound or xray, they just did bloodwork and put anti nauseous and pepcid through my IV. I would have liked for them to actually find the root cause of my pain instead of giving me medicine to treat the symptoms. Then the discharge nurse gave me another patients discharge summary! Im not a nurse and I even know anytime you walk into a patients room you verify name and DOB."

"For 2023 (and I pray no more for this year) I went to the Emergency room at LIJ Valley Stream fives times and I am amazed at the staff. I am not saying that everything was perfect. I am not saying that everything was peach and bright. I am not saying that they solved every problem. I am saying that I watched the staff care for people. I was there yesterday and I sat, cried and prayed for the team as they worked on two patients who were having some life challenges. I kept hearing one of the nurses say to the patient who was in distress, " it's okay, you are in the hospital" and eventually they were able to carry out the duties they needed to help this man (and I left them still attending to his care). I know when we go to the ER, we go focused on our loved ones or even ourselves but if you can take a minute and watch what goes on around you, you too will lift up a prayer for every ER personnel in whatever hospital you go. Father, I pray for every ER personnel. Please keep them, help them, watch over them, give them the wisdom, knowledge and understanding they need to tackle every case that comes in. As they take care of others, remind them to take care of themselves as they are valuable. Thank you especially for the ER team at LIJ Valley Stream. They strive each day to attend to the needs of their surrounding community and for this I give you thanks in Jesus' name. Amen"

"This hospital Emergency room wait takes forever and it is the worst. People can die in the Emergency room and no one will care. I told the nurse I was in pain and she told me everyone is in pain. They need to re train the staff here immediately. Horrible Horrible. I stated that urgent care sent me over because they think that I might have a blood clot and they didn't care. I been here for 3 hours."
