"We participated (two of us, each in our own kayak) in the 5:30pm kayak ride on a Sunday -- along with four other persons (each in a two-person kayak) -- on the Hudson. Our guide, Steve, did a great job of sharing in specific detail before we departed the optimal way to handle the kayak (oars and rudder) as well as ensuring we were comfortably ensconced in our kayak, making adjustments when necessary. Steve also patiently entertained questions. After launch, we kayaked as a group past the lighthouse and beyond the Tappan Zee Bridge. We had the chance to stop several times and take in the views which were outstanding on the water of sunset and of the shore making for great picture taking (i.e. it is a must to have a water-proof way to carry your phone or you can buy one via Hudson River Recreation) Plus, some lighthouse history was shared during the trip. Detailed instructions upfront did make for a relatively late departure, however, and fortunately, Steve foresaw this and brought kayak lights for us and personally installed them on the rear of the kayak while we were out on the water which was critical since it pitch black as we came back to the launch area. Pluses: +The specific instructions on optimal kayaking +Emphasis on safety and life jacket wearing +Steve our guide +The views on the river +The moments of serenity when we stopped a couple of times after departing Improvement Areas -Steve had no co-worker assistance and had to rely on participants to lift and haul kayaks to and from the launch point (might have been a real issue had we not had persons capable of doing so and willing) -Best to launch promptly so as to return before nightfall"

"We went on the sunset Kyak tour with a double Kyak. Steve our guide/instructor was amazing and helped us throughout the entire trip. Always watching over us to make sure we were all OK. The view was amazing with the sunset behind the bridge. Definitely a wonderful experience."
