The Roundhouse

"Really wanted to enjoy this hotel for a birthday getaway. The heat stopped working in our room on the first night (low temps were in the teens, definitely needed heat). We notified the front desk and they moved us to the “emergency room” basically in the lobby. This room was half the size of the room we booked and everything was a little bit broken, including the bathroom door which would not stay shut. Every time we asked, the front desk told us they were working on it and would let us know as soon as a comparable room became available. We were never moved or offered a comparable room. Because we paid in full when we made the reservation, the hotel refused to provide any refund. Very disappointed and recommended staying elsewhere."

"Beautiful locatoon overlooking the falls. The room was spectacular, located in the mill building. It was spacious. The barn door to the bathroom was difficult and would slide open/not stay closed. Our only interaction with staff was check in and out and a greeting to the maintenance staff. Everyone was curteous. We did not have a chance to try the restaurant as there are so many on Main. This location is phenomenal and we would return."

"Such a lovely and delightful experience! Roundhouse came highly recommended to us while taking a well-deserved getaway weekend in beautiful Beacon, NY. It's located right on the waterfalls at the end of the popular main shopping street, with spectacular scenery. It's a beautiful huge space with floor to ceiling windows right on the lit waterfalls with all the tables for 2 romantically tucked in, for ultimate ambiance. The entire staff, from the beautiful bar to everyone that helps you at your table, are professionally kind, friendly and engaging. Everyone seems very happy to be at work and do what they do, all the way around including the table bus, which, to me, is a sign of a good work environment and proper management. As a person in a service industry, it's something I notice, and it stands out. The foods are all well prepared and beautifully presented. Unfortunately the runt of the meal was the Ceasars salad, which seems like it was made a few hours ago and lacked flavor, but my husband's Duck and my Steak and accompaniments were expertly prepared and great quality ingredients! Everything was delightful!"

"I placed a straightforward order for a well-done burger, expecting it to be cooked to perfection. However, to my surprise and dismay, when my meal arrived, I was served a rare burger instead of the well-done one I had requested. While the ambiance and service were pleasant, the kitchen's failure to get such a fundamental order right left a lasting negative impression. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and improves its attention to detail and food preparation standards to ensure a better experience for future customers."
