"Came in randomly for a snack and the food is super amazing! The chicken wings are some of the best I’ve ever eaten, remarkably delicious. So perfectly seasoned, so gently breaded and fried. And the collard greens, also wonderful."

"First time and it won't be my last . Brenda the owner was very pleasant. She put her heart into the fish and grits. I will definitely patronize BJ's Soul Food again. The waiter was equally pleasant."

"The food is genuine. Seasoned well. I don’t what went wrong bases in these other reviews …but I eat here’s often and appreciate having a soul food spot on the Hudson Valley. The fried chicken wings are always cooked good and seasoned well. Collard greens are delicious. Macaroni salad is delicious. I love in Wappingers and wish they delivered. The place is always busy with customers. I pray they stay in business."

"No frills restaurant with quality southern food, the people who work there are very lovely too. Everything is made to order, and will say their fried chicken and Mac and cheese are solid. Definitely more of a lunch/dinner spot, as their breakfast was just okay."
