"Seeing movies at the Beacon Theater is the BEST! Seriously, it’s always fun. The candy options are spot on, and you can get beer and other snacks too, and natch, killer popcorn. It’s this unexpected blend of swanky—the women’s bathroom is legit fancy—and down to earth. They don’t take themselves too seriously like other independent theaters (look for the movie retro). Oh and the seats are dreeeeeamy (esp. if you have back issues or have a big butt like I do, lol). Theater 1 is my favorite, because it’s so much bigger than you’d expect! Always a great afternoon or night out."

"I want to love this theater. It's a cool location, with little viewing rooms and really comfortable seating, friendly staff, great cinematic selections, and on and on. BUT, the amount of sound that bleeds across viewing rooms is way beyond tolerable. Invest in more soundproofing and I will happily give you 5 stars."

"I had been taking my kids and having a great time with them after a half hour + drive. Going out of our way was part of the experience and we loved going together for some years. The last 2 times, (since being taken over) were terrible. Over priced, cafe seating was terribly uncomfortable and "real" staff was replaced with bar staff, (nothing against them. The former staff were of more film geek, in a good way) I hope they can turn it back around :("

"I love this theater. Very comfy larger than normal seats with extra space in front so people can easily get by. Plus they serve alcohol, fun sitting at the sidewalk tables having a glass of wine before the movie. Great popcorn. I will definitely go back!"

"We had a private room birthday party for a 70 year-old Beatle fan. Service was great! There was a variety of truly mouth-watering small plate appetizers we passed around! The cocktails were intriguingly named with very creative flavors! The theater manager, Christian, even rented a piano keyboard for us so we could sing and play our most Fab Faves before watching a screening of "Hard Day's Night"! Thank you to all of the folks at Beacon Theater and Wonder Bar for a fantastic evening! You are the anchor of a delightful downtown Beacon scene!"
