"Had the WORST experience at this Shop Rite this past Sunday. If negative stars were possible this one be the time to use them. My fiancé and I went early in the morning to get some things for breakfast and the woman at the deli was just awful. For starters, she made me feel like a complete idiot when attempting to order salami… I repeatedly pointed to the exact one that I wanted only to get sly remarks and eye rolls and she refused to look where I was pointing. When I read the label name to her she raised her eyebrows, saying she didn’t know what I was talking about and told me what the specials of the day were. So frustrating!! There was some confusion with the ticket number we originally grabbed to order and in the midst of trying to order a 1/2 lb of salami she accused us of cutting the line and not having a ticket when we had clearly presented one to her. We were so pissed at this point we went and grabbed a pack of pre-sliced salami. We just moved into an apartment 5mins away so this would be a super convenient place to shop but I will never step foot in this shop rite again. I’d hate to think this behavior was due to my age/race but honestly this was such a bad experience, we’d rather drive a little further than go back."
"This was a horrible shopping experience. You couldn’t get down isles nor to the shelves. When you mention it to an employee, they’re either rude or shrug with a “that’s the way it is” attitude. There were also a lot of accessibility issues. I had to walk in the road with my cart because they had blocked even the sidewalk. Poor management is obvious. You don’t bring ALL the pallets out at once and then slowly work on them. You bring out what you’re going to work on ONLY. They even do this in the frozen food section with ice cream. I saw an employee throwing boxes of pasta which are now all broken I’m sure. I keep telling myself not to go to this shoprite. Avoid it."
