"The staff's warm hospitality was truly remarkable. We chose a less crowded time for our visit, and one of the staff members, a kind lady, went above and beyond to share information about the museum and even played checkers with our son. We wholeheartedly recommend this place!"
"This is an incredible hidden gem of a Wedding Venue. Everyone we talked to was surprised to hear this was our choice, but it was the most beautiful day. The staff was so accommodating and excited to be a part of our day. The Snack Bar is a perfect spot for an indoor ceremony and reception up to about 75 people, with plenty of outdoor space for tables and a tent. The staff also gave us access to the buildings for some stunning couple portraits before the ceremony. It was an incredibly beautiful day, and the staff made it so easy to set up, clean up, and just have a fun time."
"We went after our vacation at Legoland to extend our trip a little. From the website and reviews, it looked great. However, many of the buildings were shut with no prewarning or signage indicating this. We were disappointed that the candle making that we had read about on the website was closed. Some of the buildings seemed in transition and maybe the place is really at its best during pre arranged festivals/school trips etc and not as a random family drop in. The lady in the gift shop was super lovely and very nice and welcoming. The tour guide (the only other member of staff president during our visit) made us feel uncomfortable and we opted to self guide ourselves through the buildings. Many things were familiar to me after growing up in the UK...our schools still had that type of desk as recently as the 90s! It was fun explaining what we were seeing to our son and he was fascinated and really enjoyed the day. As an adult, I was disappointed by the closed buildings, however it was enjoyed by those who matter...the little ones!"
"Come and learn about the average American experience at the celebration of the centennial, and the different ways that industry changed and evolved our lives into what we know today!!"
"I am writing this from the perspective of someone who has limited mobility and uses a scooter and a walker to get around. Also, this was not a typical day. We showed up to a car show going on and many of the buildings that we read so many wonderful things about were closed. That being said, it seems like it would be a nice place to visit when the focus is the property and interpretations of the things in the village. However, we circled the village twice and there were only two buildings that I could access, without steps so I could use my scooter. It’s a shame because the village itself is really nice and easy for me to navigate with my scooter. If they just made a little extra effort for the entry of the buildings, those of us with mobility issues could enjoy what they have to offer. The one set of bathrooms that they had were easy to get to. There were no larger stalls that would accommodate a wheel chair or scooter. The one stall on the end did have a bar attached to the wall but that’s it as far accessibility goes. The website said they have a snack bar which we could not find. They did have two food trucks there, I guess because of the car show. There was a barn with picnic tables in it and on the ends it looked like what could have been a snack bar, but nothing was open. It was nice to see a large location where you could have a picnic lunch."
