"My mother went and had her hair styled for Mother's Day and it ended up being a nightmare! I have no clue what products were used, but later that evening it was just falling out in large clumps. When brought to the attention of the staff, the owner asked her to come in so they could try to figure out what was causing this reaction.They essentially ended up doing some type of treatment (I would assume a keratin treatment) because my mom isn't sure what process was utilized. However, my poor mom's hair is currently in a state that I've only ever seen once before... (and that's because I tried to use a product "at home" that is absolutely not made for my type of hair)! We are Native American and I used a relaxing agent made for coarse hair...which apparently is never to be used on my hair type. My hair was absolutely FRIED, and my mother's hair looks and feels precisely the same as mine did. I cannot say for certain that is what happened because I was not present at the time of her appointment, but I do know that she has never had an issue like this before. As of this morning she isn't sure what to do about this whole situation because whatever treatment was performed didn't help at all, there is literally nothing we can do to help her. She can't even style it. So sadly & unfortunately she has been keeping it pulled back in a ponytail. I wish there was something that I could do for her, but it seems almost inevitable that she will have to have her hair cut extremely short, and hopefully it will grow back quickly!"
