"Was my first time visiting, and I was not disappointed. My partner doesn't care for tacos much but wound up eating the tacos I ordered...lol.. Although, I enjoyed the French dip just as much. Margarita's we're very good, the bang bang shrimp were amazing, and the servers were very attentive. We will definitely be returning."

"The live music was great. After a reasonable wait (given how busy it is for the holidays), the food was quick and our waitress was attentive. The “Mackenzie’s Black Cherry Cider” was so tasty. My boyfriend and I started with mild wings and they were arguably the best wings we have ever had. Could not be more pleased with them, they are a MUST try. I then got the chicken Caesar wrap and it was so delicious. The fries and chips were also tasty! This is my first ever review, I just had to make one because of the wonderful food and atmosphere on such a busy day!"

"This was our place to eat after shopping but no more. The bartender was horrible and doesn’t know the difference between seltzer and tonic. Next six of us sit down to dinner (they were not busy at all) we ordered our food and kept asking where it was. An hour and a half later we got up and left. Besides the fact that the manager came over in the end but not when we asked to see him 2 or 3 times during this ordeal. The clincher was the dope bag that we found under our table( learn to clean a bit better) you couldn’t give me free food for a year to go back there… customer beware"

"We had a mixed first experience at Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light in Smithville. Our server was nice but never told us her name. The food was okay but they messed up our order three different ways even though the place wasn't that busy. My husband ordered the Tavern burger but they brought him the Bistro burger which has blue cheese instead of cheddar (my husband hates blue cheese). Also, he was supposed to get a pickle with the burger but that never came. I ordered the Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner which was tasty though it didn't wow me. It was supposed to come with salad and bread but they never brought the bread either. I wasn't going to eat it anyway, but that's not what matters. My husband didn't want to return his burger even though it was all wrong, he just removed the blue cheese as best as he could and ate his burger without any cheese. We didn't ask for the pickle and bread. We usually avoid complaining about our food at restaurants. We may give The Lantern Light another try, as we visit Smithville quite often. Our favorite there is The Lakeside Grill."

"I've been waiting to write this review! There were 4 of us dining. We were visiting the Smithville Village, which is a fun place to visit. Anyway, there was a Chicken Ceaser Salad, Tuna Jasmine Rice Bowl, and a Balsamic Chicken Sandwich with mozzarella, and I had the Santa Fe Salad with Buffalo chicken strips. The service was very good and the atmosphere was welcoming. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their food. I can only speak for mine, though. It was a beautiful dish, and it tasted even better! It didn't even need the avacado ranch dressing, but that was also very good. Good food and service... I highly recommend it!"
