"The only thing I’m upset about is that one person beat me to post the first review. For those that want the quick and dirty: food is delicious and very well made, with great flavors. Drinks will do you dirty in the best way possible: great creations on the menu. Staff is friendly and all the owners/management wear fun shoes with their suits. Long version: Ambiance is really nice. Modern feel, not overcrowded or oppressive, and has a very metropolitan vibe (which our area needs). Appetizers: who doesn’t love some oysters, especially when they’re local and taste great. I don’t know what drug that best salad had in it, but I’ll have 30 more. I will only speak for my dinner, which was exceptional. I had the bouillabaisse, of which the broth alone was flavorful and perfect with the plethora of seafood that comes in it. Drinks (I had the filthy martini) was delicious and made right. I wished I ubered, frankly, because there were a few other drinks I wanted to try (don’t drink and drive, kids). Staff and owners were very friendly and made it inviting. I would try quickly before it becomes too busy to get a table."
"The cuisine at River Pointe Inn is shockingly good. Josh, the chef, is Michelin level. The two appetizers we had were wonderful and wonderfully creative. The Tuna Tartare Nicoise presented the tuna atop an Avocado Dijon Mousse that was perfect in support. The Lyonaisse salad with plenty of lardons was topped by a poached egg. Once again, very creative. But the mains were better still. The salmon, done medium, and crusted with Brioche was about the best we've ever had. The Hangar Steak, done medium rare, had a deliciously seared crusty outside that revealed a very tender pink inside you could cut with a butter knife . My only complaint is that they slightly over-salted both the steak and frites which, by the way, came from and tasted like real potatoes. You may not mind the noise level but we did. There are NO sound absorbent surfaces anywhere to be found and the din forces you to all but shout across the table. Never mind! We can't wait to go back. Finally, some local haute cuisine that rivals the best in the East."
