"Review is in part for the staff - they were very helpful on the phone, and then Matt replaced my car battery despite the pouring rain. He would've been well within his rights to ask for me to come back when it eased up. I'd normally have replaced the battery myself but I had a sprained hand, so I was definitely appreciative."

"I want to update this review with my most recent experience. I needed to replace my heater hoses and according to their website, the store has them in stock and cut to length, prepackaged. I drove there to find out that wasn't the case. The guy at the counter seemed annoyed at the inconvenience of having to find the price per foot off the spool in the back. The price was higher than the online list price. I ended up leaving and ordering from Amazon, which worked out to be cheaper anyway. Sorry to inconvenience you, dude. _______________________________________________ *sigh* I don't understand why these things have to be so difficult. It shouldn't be so hard to buy car parts. I'll say this, the store in really clean, appears to be well stocked, and there are plenty of employees around to help. And they're friendly too. Unfortunately today's market is app based, like it or not. AutoZone's app is garbage. Of course you need it to track purchases for cash back but you get no discount for online purchases like other stores. And if you shop in store and scan with the app you still have to wait around for the order to flow while you stand there and wait. Why? Because they don't value your time. So the store gets 5 stars, the employees get 5 stars, and the app gets 0 stars. To be honest, it just isn't worth the trip unless you're in a pinch"

"I went to my local autozone on October 1st to check my battery! A representative helps me immediately! He ran the test and told me that my battery was bad and I wasn't charging and I needed a new one! that the computer did not find any problem, just that! I spent $212 dlls including the core! The next day my car was completely dead! why the alternator was not good! That means I bought a battery without need! That mistake cost me $525 and the cost of the battery! when mine was 100% functional! I went back to the store to talk to the manager and return something I didn't need! but it couldn't be done because the battery I left wasn't in the store! The recycler took it!! I think that Autozone does not have the trained staff to serve customers there properly! since it only made me make an unnecessary expense! It cost me $750 when I would only have to spend $280 for the new alternator and $200 for the installation! I'm not sure I'll go back to that store! It doesn't give me confidence!"

"I've had a few good experiences in Auto Zone Freehold but not great. Eventually they got me what I needed but sometimes you need to exercise a little patience. One employee, while not exactly rude, was a little dismissive toward my wife who actually knows quite a lot about cars."
