"I've given this place a chance multiple times. And time & time again, they have disappointed. Food is bland & flavorless, not even the tuna melt (which is an easy menu choice to make) was up to pare. The lack of inconsistency with this spot has now made me shy away completely from ever coming back again or even recommending it as a suggestion to others. The customer service isn't an issue at all, they try their upmost to provide a friendly accommodating dinning experience. The true deep rooted issue here is the food. If you like bland, flavorless food, prepared by a cook whom doesn't seem to care how he makes food for customers of this establishment, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, avoid this place completely. My suggestion for success to Bus Stop: Get a New Cook."

"The waitress got our order perfect the first time. The food was excellent. It was decorated inside like an old diner with the formica table countertop stools and the pictures of the buses up on the wall brought back a lot of cool memories. This place is definitely on my A list. The blackboard specials change from day-to-day the prime rib was awesome."

"Have been there a couple times for breakfast. Which have always been good. Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to try for dinner. Wow, everything was great. The cornbread is a must! Our waitress Justine was on top of it all, very friendly. Would definitely recommend this establishment for all breakfast, lunch and dinner."

"First time customers. Ordered Broiled Chopped Steak and a Cobb salad. The cobb salad was an 8/10. The broiled chopped steak was bland, as was the barely fried home fries, and worst of all was the corn. I generally eat the veggies first but they were chewy and tasteless. The home fries were lacking any seasoning and crispness. After adding salt and pepper to everything the food was better. Along with my Chopped steak came pea soup to start. It also needed to be seasoned more. I only ate a 1/4 of it and the main entrees arrived (that is a huge strike on the server). We had to ask for drink refills even though our glasses were empty for awhile. It was a nice gesture that the gentleman working the cash asked if everything was ok."

"To be fair, I walked into the diner at noon on Memorial Day and it was packed. I asked to sit at a table and the only one available was in from if the cash register by the door. It was a table for 6. I was greeted by the man operating the register. I saw it was busy and didn't get annoyed until 15 minutes with no one walking up to get my drink order. Register guy(sorry I don't know who he was or his name) was very apologetic and got me my coffee and a glass of water. It was another 15 minutes before he came back and took my order. Again apologizing for the lack of a waitress for my table. I ordered the Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Eggs Over easy and bacon. They delivered my food amazingly fast. I'm happy to say. The eggs were Sunnyside up but that's fine with me. After over a half hour wait, I wasn't going to complain about a rushed order. I don't blame anyone for this service and I don't think it's typically this crazy. The pancakes were delicious, the eggs and bacon were good and the coffee was OK. I enjoyed the atmosphere of controlled chaos that is the New Jersey Diner experience. I would definitely eat here again. It's located in a strip mall and that's the most Jersey thing of all."
