Lived in Garfield for 5 years and can definitely say we order from Mama Mia's as our place for pizza. Love the buffalo chicken pizza! "I will be honest these had to be the nicest people to ever serve a pizza. They were so nice and pleasant. Everybody should take lessons from how they were. "Update: (10/18/21) I’ve noted before that I don’t feel that the owner is very professional and recently, I have seen this pattern again. This time the owner tried to take advantage of me & my younger sister picking up pizza. On THEIR website, it clearly states you can order for a better deal and when we got there to pick it up, the owner refused to give us the deal, saying “That’s not supposed to say that” and even switching the table on us asking “What’s this? I don’t recognize this” and then realizing it’s his own website that he “didn’t update”. It didn’t seem authentic (it felt like a fake interaction) and the deal is still online days later. He hurried with our order so we would have to pay since it was prepared, but it was not fresh- it was from the display & as he stated “less than an hour made”. Which we didn’t pay for as well as ordered. The pizza was cold and overpriced more than regular (& especially compared to the deal we optionally ordered). I understand that it’s normal to raise prices as a business, but the way he went about this certain situation was very unprofessional. He refused to offer us what we originally ordered and it was cold! I would buy their vegan options again if I couldn’t find a closer alternative but as for their regular pizzas- I suggest you buy else where if you want accurate prices. I would come to support & tip the teens, that’s all. ——— (previous review from a year ago) I’m very happy that this local pizzeria is giving vegan options, which none of the other places in Garfield have done yet. They have definitely raised the prices up now since many customers are coming more often to earn more profit, but it’s still more affordable than NYC vegan pies for sure. Shoutout to the vegan lady who makes the pizzas/ranch recipes! Super sweet & deserves a raise. As well as the kids working who have always been professional "
