"There aren't many options in the area. As a matter of fact, most of the Caribbean food around here is blah. The original owners were much better. If I had to choose, it would be Maria's near Harriman. There's another Puerto Rican place in Florida NY that isn't too bad but very expensive."
"2nd time ordering from Nelly. I should've learned from my first experience which wasn't all that bad. This time however, the food was lackluster and beyond. The mofongo was completely tasteless, not even a hint of garlic and barely any pork or chichharon. The pernil was pure salt, loads of grease and green peppers. Diner beware. This is not the place to go if you are looking for authentic Latin food and flavors."
"This is my second time ordering from work with my colleagues and it was very unpleasant again. $95 down the drain. The mofongo was in flavorless tomato sauce with green onions and peppers , which I’ve never seen before. That was my meal, I couldn’t even eat it. My co workers all threw their food out. We ordered Cuban Sandwhich, two orders of the chicharron de pollo and the chicken wasn’t fried properly at all. The beans was just broth with a few beans in them. I’m not sure if I’m furious because I’m starving or if it’s just the anger of food being this pleasant. Absolutely disappointing."

"I enjoyed the Pernil Diner with rice and beans. Delicious tender roast pork , nice portion/value for your money. The garlic sauce was tasty reminded me a bit of a Peruvian style sauce. Lots of meal deals for one or a whole family. They have gotten much better at online/ delivery orders. Order online for pickup or delivery. GH does a good job in this area. They seem to work with more mature people than DD. Many ppl in the area agree."
