"Lone star lakes Parks is a fantastic place to go and visit in the Suffolk Virginia area. There are biking trails that are quite varied and extensive. There are trails where you can jog on a nice very path. You can also find just a lot of flat surface if you prefer that to slight inclines. There is a lot of places to launch boats I guess mostly canoes. There is a ton of fishing they're actually number of lakes that are all joined together in this area. Oh and there is a playground and the area, there are restrooms, and there are picnic tables spread throughout every area that I want to."

"Relaxing, some wildlife, great place to walk. You can normally find a pond with no people and dogs are common. There are fish but the freshwater ponds are overfished and unstocked. Crane lake and cedar creek are brackish and have puppy drum, specks, and small saltwater fish. Cedar a creek is only good at high tide (fish cut bait in the small creek on the right) and Crane Lake is better from a boat. However, Crane Lake has a few good shore spots, use mirror lures or swim jigs for trout opposite end from the boat ramp or cut bait for catfish (best near the boat ramp). Butler track has the best bass fishing. The whole park is good for kayaking."

"Great place to enjoy the quiet. Several lakes side by side. A playground, several boat launches, Porta potty. Not sure of public bathrooms as we didn't drive through the whole place but it was very pretty, could be cleaner, but worth it for the solitude."

"My rating is based on trying to find a park with good trails. I thought I read on their website to only park in designated areas but I drove the whole loop and there was no parking lot, but found people were just parked along the street or some of the gravel paths near some of the lakes. Along the loop it's really not clear either on where the trails are located. After driving the loop we stopped and took a pic of the map so we can figure out the areas we could walk. There are a few paths, but it would be great if each path listed their total distance. We chose to take the Wildlife Habitat (WH) trail and planned to take the connecting path to the Archery Trail, but there are no signs leading you to that path. There are random openings along the WH path that just take you back to the same loop. I then thought if we went to one of the lakes we could just walk along one of the lakes. We stopped at a few lakes, there is no path to walk along the lakes. I think the park would be great if you are fishing. Some of the lake signs signified what type of fish you could catch there. Also if you just want to take a kayak or paddle board out on flat water, there are several options there. Thinking we were missing something, we drove to the side of the park that had the horse trail. There we found the playground, but it is damaged and unfortunately, still accessible."

"We took a picnic to this park and had a great time. We went specifically for walking, not horseback riding, archery, or bicycling, but those are also activities you can enjoy. Pros: Beautiful surroundings Easy walking trails Lots of places to fish (if you have a permit) Bike-friendly Thoughtfully-placed trails Rubbish bins at the picnic areas Cons: Some "trails" are just straight paths without shade Some trailheads are not clearly marked One of the steps up on a trail had missing boards (and was thus just rebar) No clearly-marked parking areas Unclear directions at entry to park"
