"Where do I even start? How about when I first arrived here back on June 17 of 2022. I walked in for services after being a addict for 22 years, lost, broken and just looking for a new way of life. Little did I know that the next 90 days of going through the Fresh Start Program ( Atlantic Outreach ) was going to change my life completely. I started off my journey going through the program and during the time frame I became a house leader and started working cutting grass and moving furniture for the company. That slowly transitioned into becoming a cleaner for the company and working for our 3.1 program. After spending some time there I later became the orientation/ intake coordinator and I absolutely loved my job with having a opportunity to give back to those who were coming in just like I did, from the first moment they arrived I was able to give them comfort and show them love and respect. It also gave me a daily reminder of where I came from when I walked through these doors. It has been such a life changing experience and now with a year and 3 months clean I couldn't be more happier with my decision and where my higher power has taken me in life. I'm building relationships with my family and kids again, me and my woman finally get a real chance at a healthy relationship, also I have met some really awesome respectful friends in my recovery journey and I couldn't be more thankful for. I now have transitioned into the housing coordinator for the program, where I have an opportunity to work with an amazing group of people who all have gone through the program and now are living successfully lives in there recovery journey.
