"Steve Commando Roragen the Original Founder of the Veterans Day Parade spent 10 very long years (2000-2010) establishing the Veterans Day Parade without anyone helping. Finally in 2010 help was found. A secondary Founder was found to take over and people forgot that it was Commando that started this parade. Today this parade is one of the largest in Virginia thanks to Commando!"

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you so much for all the tips. Thanks to you we chose just the right hike, the right places for dinner and breakfast... Wonderful hike along Belfast trail, up to Marble Graveyard, great views despite the rainy weather. As a treat after our 5 hour tour we went to "Lucky" which you had proposed according to our culinary preferences... What a match! In addition, you made our day by recommending the best coffee and pastry in town. Amelie and Marlene, you made our Roanoke experience great and unforgettable! Thank you."

"Visited on March 10, 11 & 12, 2017. Really enjoyed St Paddy's parade. Attended Volleball tourney in the Berglund Center on Saturday night and had two problems: no access to handicapped parkings since the spaces were closed off for another event scheduled in the Berglund Center; two events going on simultaneously and the second problem was there was no traffic control to disperse traffic from the Berglund Center when the volleyball tourney was over. Did not spoil a good experience with the Hampton Inn and Martin's Restaurant. Just thought some feedback on the Berglund Center parking would be constructive. Will come back."
