"Lolololol, you better not go there. The Doctors and nurses don't listen to you because they are superior to the patient and what you tell them goes in one side and out the other. Along with all the stupid questions they ask you, are straight or Gay, do you have food at home do you feel abused at home at you a migrant and to top it off do you speak English in America. And don't forget insurance, insurance, insurance, insurance, insurance, even if you're passed out. They should have a hospital for the working poor, not this white collar one."

"I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the excellent care the VCU Pauley Heart Hospital staff and electrophysiology doctors provided during my recent ablation surgery. Your dedication to your work and compassion for your patients are truly admirable. Undergoing an ablation procedure can be a frightening and overwhelming experience, but your calm and reassuring presence made all the difference. From the moment I entered the hospital, you were attentive to my needs, explained the procedure to me in detail, and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. During my hospital stay, you were always there to monitor my progress, administer medications, and make sure I was comfortable. Your expertise and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of my care. Your warmth and empathy made me feel like I was more than just a patient, but a person who mattered. I can honestly say that I have never felt so well-cared-for as I did under your watchful eye. Your tireless efforts, unwavering commitment, and boundless kindness helped me recover from my surgery and gave me the strength to face the challenges ahead. Doctor Mankad and the nursing support staff were all exceptionally professional, kind and attentive. Standout nurses include Meredith in pre op, all of the EP team, and of course Betsy and Noelle in my hospital room. I cannot thank you all enough for the exceptional care, and for going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and cared for. You are all true assets to your profession and a credit to the hospital. Once again, thank you for everything you did for me. You truly made a difference in my life, and I will always be grateful. Sincerely, Greg Stonelake"

"I had open heart surgery to replace and repair valves. I awoke absolutely terrified because I had a breathing tube down my throat. I was gagging and and coukd hear this whirring sound inside me every time I breath. I went in and out of consciousness few times always to wake terrified. There were as many as 4 staff standing around looking at me. Not one of them bothered to explain what was happening. This was a very traumatic experience and no one cared. I was in pain the 13 days I was there. I was in so much pain one night that I vomited. I would be in tears all but begging for someone to give me something to take my pain away. I dont knowing what the problem was but I do know that my pain was not a concern. It was an absolutely unpleasant experience with this hospital."
