Pivot PT - Ashland

"This place was one of the places referred to be by my back Dr. because my insurance requied it in order to get an MRI. The place is nice and the folks are really nice. PT and helpers were great and their hours fit me perfect. There were not able to help me with my problem but insisted to my Dr that I needed another month of therapy after 8 weeks which was a waste of my money. When I got my EOB from my insurance company it turned out that Pivot had been over charging me. When I bought this up to the desk person I was told that's how they do it and at the end of the session I would be refunded the difference. Well that never happened and the desk clerks at the location gave me phone number after phone number to call because they didn't deal with billing just taking payments that comes up on the computer but I got no where with anyone at the numbers. One person even told me that they didnt even have records of me ever being there but couldnt tell me why i was getting bills from them when they actually owed me money. This is the reason for the 2 stars. Very poor billing and nobody knows nothing. If you do choose this place check with your insurance to find out who much you pay and pay in cash."

"In May 2022 I had somehow had a freak injury after just a few swimming strokes in the pool. It felt like something tore or something really wrong happened cuz the pain was sudden and awful. Being somewhat stubborn, I had waited to seek medical care for several months. By the time I started PT with Erin, I had a decent amount of scar tissue built up that limited my left arm mobility, making day to day tasks and sleeping more difficult. It took only 3 months of twice-weekly therapy sessions to fully heal my injurty - without surgery! Erin told me early on, "I promise, by the time vacation rolls around again, you will be able to swim in the pool, pain free." SHE WAS RIGHT! I did get back in the pool, and I did swim with full range of motion, and no pain!"

"Horrible since Pivot took over. Puppy mill for patients. Manager won’t return calls to discuss concerns. PT “doesn’t have time “ to do complete or functional evaluation. States they include patients in goal setting but do not. All goals were to “reduce pain”, nothing about increasing function (like getting up from chair, stairs… things necessary for day to day activities)… Going elsewhere. Was a good place before Pivot. Now it’s about pumping through as many patients a day as possible with therapist attention split between multiple patients. Only writing review as couldn’t get a call back. Going elsewhere."
